&lt;p&gt;The picture to the left shows a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi, a stronger fabric and double stitching is used for this gi compared to a traditional Jujitsu kimono due to the constant grips and sharp pulls and grabs during a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu match.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The trousers are loose fitting around the legs to ensure you're not restricted in any way.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The jacket should be worn with the right hand side lapel under the left as shown. Jackets may sometimes have short tassels inside that can be tied to the opposite side of the gi to ensure it doesn't become loose; this isn't found on many Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi's since many participants want the gi to become loose, sometimes to use it against their opponent.&lt;/p&gt;
